Why Partner with the Wilder Institute?
A partnership with the Wilder Institute connects your company to measurable conservation outcomes, and to an organization with nearly four decades of credibility in community conservation, applied science, and species recovery.
Scale Impact
The Wilder Institute operates programs across Canada and internationally, giving corporate partners the ability to contribute to conservation at a scale that a single company can’t achieve alone.
Align with ESG goals
We work with your team to identify projects that align with your Environmental, Social and Governance and Corporate Social Responsibility priorities, delivering real outcomes that meet your needs.
Brand and purpose integration
A The Wilder Institute partnership connects your brand to a cause Canadians care deeply about, with recognition packages designed to deliver meaningful return on investment alongside genuine conservation impact.
How It Works
Corporate partnerships with the Wilder Institute may look a little different than at most organizations. This is because we don’t offer fixed packages – we build each partnership around your company’s goals and the conservation outcomes you want to be a part of.
Tailored partnerships
Our partnership team works directly with your organization to identify the programs and initiatives that align with your internal priorities. From there, we co-develop a recognition package built around your philanthropic, marketing, and social responsibility goals. No two partnerships look the same because no two companies are the same.
Financial and in-kind support
Traditional cash contributions fund conservation programs directly. In-kind contributions of goods, services, or equipment provide our researchers and field teams the tools they need to do their work. Both deliver measurable conservation outcomes and come with recognition that reflects the value of your contributions.
Co-created initiatives
Some of our most impactful and creative partnerships have come from building something new together. This can look like a product collaboration, a fund, or a public-facing initiative that carries both your brand and our mission. If your team has an idea, we want to hear it.
Partnership Types
Whether your company wants to fund field programs, co-create a product, or sponsor a conservation event, there are many ways to partner with the Wilder Institute.
Funding
Direct financial support funds the breeding programs, field research, community conservation initiatives, and translocation efforts that keep at-risk species moving towards recovery. Funding partners receive recognition that reflects the critical role they play in making this work possible.
Campaign collaborations
Align your company’s marketing campaign with a meaningful conservation mission. We work with partners to develop joint campaigns that raise awareness for at-risk species, drive engagement and connect your audience to the wild world in memorable ways.
Product partnerships
From conservation brews to distillery proceeds, product partnerships turn everyday purchases into conservation action. We collaborate with companies to develop products that tell a story, connecting costumes to the species and ecosystems that your partnership helps to protect.
Event sponsorship
Sponsor events that bring people together around wildlife and wild places. Event partnerships offer high visibility, direct community engagement, and the opportunity to associate your brand with purpose-driven experiences that leave a lasting impression.
Featured Partnerships
These partnerships demonstrate what’s possible when companies bring forward creativity, commitment, and care for conservation. Each one looks different, because each organization brought something different to the collaboration.
Annex Ale Project
Since 2021, Annex Alex Project has created small-batch conservation brews featuring a key species that the Wilder Institute supports, with labels designed by Blackfoot artists Ryan Jason Allen Willert. Thousands of cans have carried the stories of whooping cranes and Vancouver Island marmots into Calgary’s restaurants, liquor stores, and homes – and a new brew is coming later in 2026.
Pivotal Energy Partners
Pivotal Energy Partners has provided The Wilder Institute’s research teams with the essential technology and equipment needed to track animals, store biological samples, and safely transport species for release. This partnership was extended through 2025, and bridged the gap between logistical need and conservation impact.
Wild Life Distillery
Based in Canmore, Alberta, Wild Life Distillery contributes a portion of proceeds from its Problem Bear Rhubarb Spritz to wildlife conservation. This partnership turned a passion for the outdoors and Alberta’s species at risk into a tangible, ongoing commitment to protecting the wild places on their doorstep.
Why It Works
The Wilder Institute has spent nearly four decades building the scientific credibility, community relationships, and field expertise that corporate partners can’t build alone. When your company partners with us, you’re not buying logo placement. You’re joining a conservation effort with a proven track record, a clear national framework, and partnerships that deliver results that both your team and ours can be proud of.
Trust and Transparency
Wilder Institute is planning to raise an estimated amount of $5,268,340 this year through fundraising campaigns. It will cost our organization an estimate of $830,455 to raise this. The money raised will be going to support wildlife conservation projects.
